What do award shows like Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity mean for the industry?
Celebrations like Cannes Lions set the creative standard, not only as a source of inspiration but as a true benchmark of creative excellence. By sharing international work in such an environment, these shows encourage us to push our industry in new directions.
And let's not forget the speaker list! This year's Cannes Lions speaker list is kind of genius… not only filled with big names from our industry, but also cultural icons such as Iggy Pop, Usher, Timbaland, Brian Eno & the one and only Anna Wintour- with Christopher Bailey and Sir Ken Robinson- to name a few.
The only problem is that I'll be in the jury room during their presentations.
What do you hope to see in the judging room?
Genius work, great ideas that reflect innovative thinking & fantastic aesthetics. Furthermore, lovely airco & people.

Design can be the differentiator between good and great.
How are you going to prepare for the big week?
I'm already in the midst of the online jury process. I expect a great inspirational week with (mostly) fantastic work and a great team of other jury members.
What are your all time favourite Cannes cases?
Favourites last year: unexpected & fantastic execution: The Gun Shop (Grey NY) and 'Life Paint' Volvo (Grey London).
And in the design category: Film4 idents for Channel4 (by 4 creatives).
