P&G Colleagues,

Our more streamlined and focused P&G is taking shape. In September, we announced several senior management changes; today, we’re announcing a second set. We’re putting the right leadership structure in place for the new P&G.

First, we celebrate the careers of four accomplished leaders who are retiring.

  • Melanie Healey, Group President–North America Selling & Market Operations, will retire June 30, 2015, after 25 years of service. Mel began her P&G career in Brazil, after roles with SC Johnson and J&J. At P&G, she quickly distinguished herself in Latin America and North America and Global Feminine and Heath Care businesses before leading North America, the Company’s largest SMO. She has been a caring, committed and compassionate leader of the business who is also a tireless champion of Diversity & Inclusion.
  • Filippo Passerini, Group President–Global Business Services and Chief Information Officer, will retire June 30, 2015, after more than 33 years of service. Filippo led the transformation of GBS and IDS to become a competitive advantage for P&G. Among CIOs, he has been recognized as a thought-leader and has inspired a generation of colleagues in both technology and business.
  • Jorge Uribe, lobal Productivity & Organization Transformation Officer, will retire June 30, 2015, after more than 33 years of service. Jorge’s experience has spanned six continents, including leadership of Latin America for nearly a decade of strong growth. A lifelong supporter and leader of United Way and its affiliates, Jorge has dedicated time and expertise to global causes, in concert with his business leadership.
  • Joanne Crewes, President–Global Prestige, will retire December 31, 2014, after 27 years of service. Joanne has spent nearly her entire career dedicated to P&G’s Beauty business—starting in Australia and progressing throughout Asia. For the past three years, Joanne has been leading our Global Prestige business.

In addition to these retirements, we have a separate executive announcement.

  • Adil Mehboob-Khan, President–Global Salon Professional, is leaving the Company to pursue other interests, effective December 31, 2014. We appreciate Adil’s 27 years of service to P&G and wish him continued success.

My personal thanks to Mel, Filippo, Jorge, Joanne and Adil, for all they have done for P&G consumers, customers, shareowners, and colleagues. P&G has benefited from their distinguished service and we wish them all the best.

In preparation for these moves, we’re announcing the appointments of several executives.

Selling & Market Operations

  • Carolyn Tastad, Global Customer Business Development Officer, has been named Group President–North America Selling & Market Operations, effective January 1, 2015.
  • Jeff Schomburger, President–Global Walmart Team, has been named Global Sales Officer for our Customer Business Development function, effective January 1, 2015.

Sectors

  • Patrice Louvet, Group President–Global Grooming, has been named Group President–Global Cosmetics, Prestige and Salon Professional. Patrice’s role is effective January 1, 2015.
  • Charlie Pierce, Group President–Global Oral Care and New Business Creation and Innovation, has been named Group President–Global Grooming, effective January 1, 2015.
  • Steve Bishop, Group President–Global Feminine and Family Care, has been named Group President–Global Oral Care, effective December 1, 2014.

GBS

  • Julio Nemeth, Senior Vice President–Product Supply, Global Operations, has been elected President, Global Business Services, effective January 1, 2015.
  • Linda Clement-Holmes, Global Information & Decision Solutions Officer, has been named Chief Information Officer, assuming additional responsibilities currently held by Filippo Passerini.

These changes simplify the way we organize and manage the Company. We have fewer business presidents and a flatter structure. We’ve consolidated functions to better support the businesses. As a result, we will have the same or fewer presidents and function leaders as we had in 2001 when sales were $39 billion—less than half our sales today.

P&G’s senior leadership has been, is, and will continue to be more innovative and productive—just like the rest of P&G. We will continue to evolve our leadership structure, business models and organization capacity to ensure we are designed and staffed to win.

Please join me in congratulating each of our retiring leaders on their outstanding careers, as well as the others on their new positions.

A.G.
